Bus

@the bus stop is an exciting project, working in partnership with Bradford diocese, local churches, the police and PCT we work to help in areas which suffer from youth crime, deprivation and low aspirations.

The Youth Bus is a beacon of advice and activity which we use to reach those communities which have little by way of youth work and as a tool to break territorial barriers.

Complete with on board café area, computer games, PC's and arts and craft. It is a hub of youth activity and provides a needed safe place for young people that can move to meet the young people at their point of need.

The vision is to empower communities to build long-term, sustainable quality youth work by giving them a resource, the skills and manpower they require.

A team of skilled youth workers, local volunteers and relevant professionals are built in each location.

In a recent survey findings showed that 65% of local young people are so territorial that they are only willing to walk up to 5 minutes to access any local provision.

Tuesday is the best night of the week, because the bus comes.
